What I find incredible is that folk that think a vehicle they chose to purchase and think the vehicle is crap...but still chose to go ahead a purchase anyway. iQ slippage is what I am detecting!
I drove in snow storm in WV just recenty...my SR5 did not slip once going up and down those hills...I have the Nittos on mine. My folks hill had not been plowed at all and I had no issues going up it or down it. Did not even have to use 4L coming back down.
I had my oil replaced, oil only at 1300 miles. First time ever in all my years, doing it sooner than manufacturers recommendation. Technician said the oil was as clean as it could be, almost like was poured it from the bottle. Feel a tad foolish now...but peace of mind is worth it I guess.
I get your point...it is valid...but at the same time...if we buy new vehicles they are always going to be more complex than what came before them...that is progress. If these systems caused 12v battery degradation issues in general..I think we would have been hearing about it by now too...this...
If it were not for the exorbitant cost and the loss of cargo space I would have purchased one. The increase in power is nothing to turn a nose up at. It is very significant and would really make towing so much better. I think MPG is the last thing that turns a 4 Runner buyer to a Hybrid.
I saw a video where a guy was installing one of ithese dash cams and had to send it back because he figured out it was going to draw down his battery. That may be it!
Good video! Everybody has different preferences for different reasons. I do not want anything wider than a 265, which limits me to all the AT tires I have looked at to 32 inch tire...which is fine with me. Why? Wider AT tires that stick out past the fender flares tend to cause more dings...
Bummer...hope they get it sorted. Soon as I saw your post I knew it was going to bring out all the anti-hybrid peeps. If a 12V goes bad is the worst thing that happens I think I would be ok with that. Bad luck...
Owned a few Toyota's and they all had moon roofs that rattled. I just stopped buying cars with moon roofs, for that reason and they take away headroom. Toyota has never been able to successfully fix one of my moonroof rattles. They would try something but it would eventully come back. I just...
That's awesome!! 465 lbs of torque doing work!!! This is where a Hybrid beats that pants off an EV! You could tow it with an EV but you would need to stop to charge every 150 miles!!
I have no experience with these batteries so I really cannot say anything negative about them. I never keep a car for 10'years so the battery life would not concern me. I can never see me getting the batteries wet. I don't go off road, off pavement yes, but offroad not really. If I had to...
