I wanted to turn some features off and was about to order the Carista, but before I do, figured I should check if anyone on here locally has one. I would be more than willing to come to you and pay to use your Carista!
If not, I will be ordering one soon and anyone in the area is more than...
Haha, well so far in upgrades (not counting PPF), I have spent $4,100 which includes:
- Wheels/Tires/Leveling Kit installed
- Rock Sliders
- TRD Skid Plate
I bought the car for around $44k, so I am in about $48k, so I still have some runway before I have to look at it and say "damn, that could...
Took this picture on my way home from the dealership:
As she stands today:
What has been done so far:
Wheels/Tires/Leveling kit
Rock Sliders
TRD Front Skid Plate
Painted Tow Hooks

Rock Sliders for My 6th Gen 4Runner – Iron Ryno Fabrication Review
Hey everyone, wanted to share my experience getting a set of custom rock sliders made for my 6th Gen 4Runner by Ryan at Iron Ryno Fabrication located in Southern California. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out, and...
Hello all!
I bought my 2025 SR5 4x4 at the end of September and wasting no time in getting it to where I want it. I am calling it the "Almost Done" build, since I keep thinking of 'one more thing' that I want to add.
Upgrades/Mods include:

I think I might price out coverage similar to what you did, more of a front bumper area vs entire front end.
My last car, the hood was waist high, so it would constantly get hit with rocks on the freeways. With the 4Runner (and a 1.5" front end leveling kit) the hood is like chest high, so...
I have been debating on doing the front end PPF on mine. I had the front done on my last car, but that car was also 2 inches off the ground, so I knew it would be peppered with any and all debris.
When I went to trade it in for my current 4Runner, the dealer couldn't care less that it had PPF...
I am a huge fan of Armour Detail Supply's Pilot. It's cleans and leave a small amount of protection behind.
I used to use P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner + 303 years ago, but like @Tarekith mentioned, I really didn't like the feel 303 was leaving behind even after going over it with a clean...
I figured they were hammered on there. What I might try is to pry the inside edge open allowing it to slip off more easily. I do have the nylon removal tools that I could use, but I figure maybe opening it up like a tin can would reduce the chance of damage to the door paint.
Mine came from factory with just the 2 front doors. I am debating on removing them as I usually don't prefer them, but I couldn't get them to take it off the invoice, not a big deal. The ones I have are the paint matched metal (I think?) ones, so if I do remove them, I just need to make sure I...
My local shop that specializes in off-road stuff actually beat all online pricing I could find, with installation, alignment and lifetime tire rotations included.
