I don't think the number is zero simply because the vehicle can still be flat towed away, but in terms of breaking the Ravelco system to get the electric system functioning I believe it is zero. Undoing a Ravelco would take a thief hours and they basically just want to get in and out quickly to...
I am hoping there is a similar guide for the 6th gen, specifically the hybrid version. The cargo area is very different due to the battery. Please advise.
If you can get an option to buy without the rack I would, mine is sitting in my garage waiting for me to sell - I put a Prinsu rack on, which should have been what came with the Trailhunter instead...
Yep, mine has a giant printed manual... I had been researching the 4R for a bit before buying the TH and then I had a 3 week wait for it to come in so spent lots of time watching those videos...
Tons of videos online about all of those options, you probably only need 5-10 mins and you'll get it, its very straight-forward. :). I personally hate owners manuals and prefer to see things walked through.
Enjoy it!
I love the new gen 4R but it was about an even trade for me going to it so not much concern financially. I would be concerned in the Tundra, but fiscally speaking I'd probably want to pay it off first, and then take some time to evaluate before jumping into a decision. By that point the 2nd year...
I am not an expert so hopefully somebody more knowledgeable can chime in, but I believe the crossbars are stronger and the rack extends the full length of the 4R so it better distributes the weight that the roof can handle.
You are correct, though there are racks which can distribute the weight more effectively and increase the dynamic and static weight. My Trailhunter came with the same rack and I swapped it out for a Prinsu standard so I could mount a skycamp3 without worrying about the weight. It is frustrating...
I have a 6th gen Trailhunter and had the stock ARB rack removed and the Prinsu standard rack put on. It increases dynamic and static weight which made it easier for me to get an iKamper skycamp 3 installed. Adding a cargo molle accessory panel next.
No plans to remove the RTT, it'll stay on year round so I can throw some things in the car and go. It takes less than 5 mins to setup, if I want to skip all of the windows I can have it up and ready to sleep in about 2 min. Closing it up about 5mins, so the fast and easy setup and takedown is a...
