Toyota took a $1B charge last year (if I remember right) - there's no way that continues. These are getting really pricy though, so it'll be a bit of a push/pull decision. That said, they aren't exactly having inventory sitting on lots, so there's clearly some pricing power.
I suspect, fwiw...
That was my original thought - I'd planned on buying a '26. What changed my mind? Two things: Tariffs and MudBath. I'm very convinced that the prices will go up next model year, and I've wanted that color for years.
So was I worried? Not really, the new 4Runner is largely a reskinned...
I really feel for the OP, but truly appreciate the thread as it will help prevent other folks from suffering the same fate. I work in cybersecurity and foolishly expected that in 2025 Toyota would have implemented handshake encryption to prevent this (especially given how much they charge for...
I was looking at an Everest Trailhunter, and then found a Mudbath pro that wasn’t allocated…jumped at the chance, and glad I did. It’s always been my favorite color, and I truly love it…my dream vehicle, and one I expect to drive for 10+ years.
As far as usability off-road, I don’t air down...
I’ll echo the great fit for the lasfit floor liners. Did the RCI rails, but 5 degree version, and really like both the look and protection. Got the second Nalgene bottle adapter installed so my wife and I both can have drinks at the same time, and discovered the TRD pro taco sun shield works...
First time I heard the squeal was backing out of the driveway after washing. Plan on doing the TSB when I take it in for the first oil change - no reason to rush.
Same here, and what’s worse is sometimes the 'front/eco' mode will turn itself on. They definitely need a software update to fix this. Those lights should always show the current state, and the vehicle shouldn’t change settings by itself.
oh, and I never use auto, so that’s definitely not the...
Anyone else noticed that the heating/ac system randomly will change itself when you turn the 4Runner back on? Sometimes mine puts itself into 'only front/eco mode' (which I never use), others it will not show the A/C is on on the dash (but it apparently is), and so on?
Location data is among the most sensitive information. While cell phone location data is protected, location data from vehicles isn't.
I trust their engineers. I don't trust their marketing department.
I believe that’s right - you lose driver profiles, digital key, and a few other things if you turn off all the data collection. Pretty crappy way to treat customers, but IMHO, it’s worth it to not have Toyota spying and selling your location data.
This is the one thing I truly detest about...
Nice!
I haven't seen another one here in Colorado either, even though we've got a few more than that. Still pinching myself for having the dream in the garage!
I lucked out, a local dealer had a mud bath arrive without being pre sold, so no reservation, just got the call and bought it. Crazy, I know, right? I should have bought a lottery ticket the same day!
