I guess this has been debated on many vehicles, so no so called experts on this site can really explain, but it was put there for more reasons than mpg, The people that do like them will take them off regardless
o
It is more for stability on the Interstate, and some Mpg. The trail hunter and Pro are not designed to drive at interstate highway speeds of 70-90 miles an hour
I took mine in for 5k service, they said it was for tire rotation only, So I paid for the oil change. Tire rotation and and oil change included at 10k.
I went 2000 miles before any screws were missing or loose checked the screws allot from info obtained from this site, then drove it 1000 miles to Florida, was missing 2 scews ,From Florida to Indiana only missing 2 scews, a couple weeks later one more screw fell out and was not driving at...
You won’t be happy towing anything over 3500 pounds, trust n
Me, sure it says 6000 pounds but the car has a short wheel base, rule of thumb cut the max tow rate In half when towing. You need a half ton pickup to tow that trailer.
Probably no more than 3500 pounds to be safe, Also most people who buy campers are not happy with either the camper or tow vehicle, and trade them in to move up or downsize.
I got used to the ride on my stock SR5, I actually like the way handles on the roundabouts, After while you will not even notice how it rides on the side roads
I think it is miles to empty which is somewhere in the low 17 gallons when the computer says you have 0 miles left. 19 gallons Is absolute volume of the gas tank I think. you do not want to drive it totally out of gas
Yes been in eco from brand new, my guess is this motor is tuned for the SR5 for peak efficiency, plus I live in central Indiana so not many hills. Bigger tires, no air dam, lift, location, driving style seem to affect this motor allot according to this website.
I have not tried any other mode than eco, but I am up to 24.2 mpg, With 4700 miles 80 percentage suburban driving 20 percent I nterstate. If you have n off-road setup maybe eco is not right for you
It will go up with time mine, started in the low 300 miles and now is 415 suburban driving, Also I keep the car in eco and try and keep the rpm’s around 2k and under. I still keep up with traffic when taking off from a stop sign while doing this method and do not drive like a snail.
Yes it is estimated on your past driving, not sure if it is your last tank or your average fuel mileage, I would assume it is your fuel mileage average
