Everest TRD Off-Road looks so good! I was leaning towards Underground for my OR but seeing this makes me think Everest will be more exciting to look at over time.
Best explanation of these terms I've come across. And cleared up the whole distributor group thing for me. Toyota has one convoluted dealer network arragement in the US wow. Wonder if it's like this in Japan too.
P.S. I wish the 6th gen 4Runner got a Lime Green color like that up top!
Glad it worked out and congratulations on getting your deposit in. What trim are you in for? They have any idea when your deposit might come up for one of their allocations?
Hard to know what he means by "contract." I doubt it could be a very formal / detailed contract without a vehicle even identified (with VIN and all). So it could possibly something as simple as a deposit slip / receipt.
Just go in and see what he gives you to sign. As long as it says it says...
Basically, they're both highly capable off-road, but each trim excels over the other for more specialized purposes:

Exactly. You just stay in the dealer's queue list until they get allocated a 4Runner build that has exact specs you want or close enough to what you'll accept.

The 5th gen 4runner's hub bore / centerbore size was 106.1 (compared to the 6th gen 4Runner's 95.1 hub bore / center bore [spec from the new Tacoma])... so the wheels between 5th and 6th gen 4Runners won't be compatible, no?
