Funny thing about styling. How different looks inspire likes or dislikes.
I actually love the new 6th gen front. But I also love the Tacomo styling, just don't need another truck in the family.
I also dislike the 5th gen look, one of the reasons why I never bought one.
Regarding pricing, we...
3k for top of the tier? Bet someone will take that. We were seeing 5-10k above for LC FE.
I saw someone say on those forums. “Lead with your wallet”. Buy or hold. It’s all a choice.
I thought hybrids got greater benefit at lower mphs. Or when city driving or stop/go tends to be more beneficials. The more consistent speed you are at ie. highway driving the less you need that hybrid side to engage.
Just a guess, I suspect it'll be available somewhere in the world similar to diesel options (looking at LC).
Marking, demand, and regulations seem "dictate" the options per country.
I keep hearing rumors of Oct ish. But honestly, until they turn the keys on the line and cranking them out. it's all guess work. Once the builder is up, we know it's close!
I'm really curious about the statements about arriving in 2025, I wonder if it's due to the specific trims. I mean: i get delays, but the press release did say Fall 2024 arrival to US. This implies, late summer/early fall building in Japan?
I'm still leaning towards the TRD OR, but the Premium concept still gives me a pause. Like the white better than Underground. That vehicle looks like it should be undercover!
I think it's the Mudbath that's the exclusive TRD Pro color, haven't heard any others being "exclusive".
To be frank, I think I'm going to say I'll take any but black or the heritage blue. I'm just not jamming that color, can't put my finger on it.
I didn't care for it either, but then I noticed it's the same design on Grand highlander and LC models. So...I ended up deciding to work with it or move onto something else. :\
I researched platinum trims this week.. Saw ranges from 4 to 10k range. Likely depends on the options attached to it.
Examples in hybrid:
Tundra: Limited 51K Platinum: 61K
Grand Highlander: Limited 54K, Platinum 58K
Sequoia: Limited 68K, Platinum 74K
I like both the TRD OR: Prem and...
Considering the time from manufacture to arrival to port and then to dealership. LC was looking at 4 weeks to port, then X time after that from time of allocation.
It's entirely possible from a certain point of view (couldn't resist), that from launch to in the hands of people could be 2 +...
Anyone want to start a betting pool how literal their "available in late 2024" is about? The press release for the 4R shown to the press all have a hybrid train.
Good find. I do think grocery inflation graph that someone posted is way off. I mean, I'm now paying $8 a bottle for Mayo, it wasn't that way 3 months ago. we are certainly not downtrending lol
Re: releases. No idea. I'd like to know why the delay. Is it parts, equipment or what?
This feels about right when you look at the LC pricing. I kind of want to discount the trailhunter and pro pricing as they are outliers at 60K +.
When people are seeing the pricings, they don't see the averaged out.
I'll use the Tundra Capstone as an example. It's an 80K truck. It's the...
Stopped by my dealer today, honey was dropping off his tundra. Got to talk with head sales manager about 4 runner.
he said after the teaser, his phone was ringing off the hook about the trd pro trim.
The others didn’t get as much demand.
