Ok so the warning is out for engines that were built in Mexico? AND US? using non hybrid engines of a specific transmission type.
Think it's worth watching, personally, I'm not changing my choices at this time.
Haven't heard of any delays, also haven't heard of an official release. Reminder: the LC was pushed out as well.
What I see is the US & Mexico NON Hybrid engines having some challenges per media influencers, and yet the trucks continue to sell. Does the Sequoia iForce Max have similar issue...
My previous experiences Saturn, Mazda and Ford I walked in and essentially walked out with a car. My Subie, I had to put my name on an inbound one, or a list, whichever came first due to popularity. I was shocked, I couldn't just get one. I had to wait 3-4 months.
The LC, I put my name on...
Literally just read on FB TRD John's feed that, he's been told "we are several months away from a drive event" for the 4R.
Now, hopefully that's because they are going to do this similar to the LC where the drive event was pretty much the same week as the first arrivals to port.
When you say scoop are you saying the thing below? This is the TRD OR Taco, I would say no.
Looks like the Sport, limited and Platinum will have it. From what I hear, it's 5 bolts to remove.
Yup! I came from there to here. Fully built the way I wanted and the Premium gas thing, pass.
Besides, I like the looks of the 4R more.
Heavily leaning towards a TRD OR Prem package.
Is it really an issue? I tried to find something in the last 30 days, not much out there.
This is the only video that I could find.
The hybrid just launched and not sure it's even in the states yet. I feel like we just don't have enough info to go on yet?
For me, my car has hit 101K, I'm...
I'd recommend using the Toyota Taco Hybrid builder to review the details on how things look, such as differences between Limited, Sport, TRD OR, etc looks.
I say hybrid since that was the newest one released with similar styles.
Had to do some research.
We have
Overland PW week of the 28th of June. (smaller than Overland Expo National)
BC Canada Overland Rally Mid July (just a Rally?)
Miami Auto show in Sept Labor day weekend.
Off road Expo end of Sept
Not seeing a ton of activity as far as shows. I'm very...
I think of it this way. It’s the same engine in the LC which they put a lot of time and money and reputation to relaunch.
i figure they got this figured out. At least at Japan plant.
It's on the Platinum too.
It could be that fine line of where does this vehicle fit? It's not a SUV (where AWD makes sense), it's also not a truck (where choosing between 2X or 4x is the standard).
At the end of the day, I believe it's because of the category of people where this vehicle...
I figure, we're getting fee'd to death by little bites in just about everything we do.
Hotels
Rental cars
Housing
You name it. I agree with the last paragraph. Can choose to manage your response to the fees. Negotiate, accept or move on. ;)
Huh, learn something new every day I suppose. I've been using my OEM rubber mats on my Subie since 2016, no issues. Snow, mud, gardening.
Love em so much, that I'm definitely getting rubber weather mats in the 4R. Didn't know there was such a range of products!
The "when" was said Fall. Since it takes about 8 weeks from build to arrival, I personally figure late fall to start (Oct).
Example: LC started arriving In April.. My dealer has gotten 3 since launch all presold, another local has 7 with 6 in transit, all presold.
Another example we can...
Not completely intending to derail.
I'm guessing...guessing!
Looking at the Tundra build site that the TRD OR: Prem and the Platinum will be close to the same price. *Iforce max builder
Tundra Platinum is 62K, and the TRD PRO is 72K.
Whereas Taco Off OR: 47K, figure add 10K for the premium...
As someone who drives an Outback. Another extremely popular car. I was cautious too. But then, I’m part of a group of people who love their car and is/was popular for a reason.
I see the 4R in the same way.
enjoy the LC. Driving should be fun. Get out there! ?
