Yeah thanks for that info. I've been toying with the rack idea. I have a pair of Thule cross bars and I will probably go with a basket style clamp on basket. The stuff that I would probably Haul on a road trip adventure would be just the essentials, mostly fuel, propane stuff like that. No need...
Yeah I would concur that oil debates can be very opinionated and Elusive and not based off engineering statistics.
I do believe that our new engines have an electronic oil pump that regulates the viscosity.
Meaning it's going to pump lighter weight as to how it's designed moving up to a 30w...
Yep I agree weekends and time with family and friends are pretty valuable to me as well. Being retired now, I can go to the local coin-op car wash then just drive home into the garage and give it a spritzing with spray wax and it looks like I went to a professional car wash pretty much done in...
Yep,
I fall into the same practices with new cars. I have just under 600 miles on mine and have already done one oc. Interestingly right after the fresh oil was put in the engine liked it significantly and MPG went up.
I did not see anything out of the ordinary as far as debris that would be...
I initially fall into the old school method as well in the beginning. Meaning I will give my new car a couple of deep carnauba waxes by hand. Then I will use the quick wax for the next 6 months sometimes even a year. Then I will give it another clean with a good hand applied wax.
I have tried...
My two cents,
McGuire's quick wax and ultimate quick detailer interior and exterior.
Paint is always smooth and slick.
One dealership tried to sell me a $2,000 ceramic coating for a $20 bottle of ceramic coating.
Yes there are very specific techniques to do proper ceramic Coatings which...
Yes you would probably be fine with just removing the third row. That would be interesting to see if you can move that second row back. I was unaware that they actually moved that up closer to the front seats by design.
I had a 24 RAV4 and I was able to lay both of my bikes not at the same time...
I have been toying with putting that type of a cot system as well. Which model did you end up with? I can't tell if that is the mini or the standard.? Another fellow Forum follower actually used a Coleman cot that has almost the same dimensions to the back and it laid over the back seat area...
I totally agree that rear seat is crap in design and that stupid little strap is more ridiculous!
I do realize they would have had to change the entire floor pan to make them disappear, the rear seat design was probably an afterthought of the overall chassis design .
they should have at least...
That's exactly why I mentioned cables. Cables are lower profile and fit tighter on the tire. Years back I had a Mercedes that would only take cables and a BMW was the same way. Never had to use any on those cars, but it was mentioned cables only!. No longer have either one.
I would question why we cannot use chains or cables? I think that deserves a call to Toyota Technical Services. They will probably say that if they come loose they will damage the vehicle.
Probably risk management being put into practice. But I digress.
Well this is interesting because I interpreted this as no chains, but cables are okay. I've had other cars that have said no chains but they reference cables as a viable option.
I would probably go with the Land Cruiser. Just cuz I think they're cool looking. Not crazy about the loss of cargo space in the back but they do have some really luxury accusions and look nice especially the 58 headlights. I heard that model is coming back in 26.
That's an awesome deal! I hope you sell them quick. I personally like them on my 4Runner TRD. I have been through the method Wheels and a few other brands on previous 4 runners. I'm liking mine and going to keep them. I hope you sell them quick that's a great price. If I hear of anyone looking...
Yeah I will have to agree the Factory crossbars crap and I don't really understand the engineering concept to have a crossbar that has an arch in it.
I believe they are wind tunnel tested and got better aerodynamics, but it is total crap if you want to mount something flat; even a ladder is...
I'll throw my two cents in. That's great to see high mileage in a short period of time and keeping up with the 5K oci. 110,000 miles for a $70,000 car, I would hope to see at least another 200,000 on top of that for that kind of price tag. I sold my third generation 4Runner with 265 k on it and...
Thank you I appreciate that. There are countless awnings out there! I have lost count on how many I've looked at. I have looked at the ARB and it is a decent line especially with the lights. I just have roof rails and I will have to most likely utilize my Thule Evo crossbars and mount to them...
