  1. 2025 4runner TRD PRO cost for a solid paint job

Well I'm not quite geeked out enough to buy a buy a paint thickness meter, pretty obvious when I'm washing the truck and rub a little too hard in one area and it scratches the paint. It's crappy paint. I will have it repainted by the same people that painted my Porsche 911 that doesn't have...
  2. 2025 4runner TRD PRO cost for a solid paint job

not really true, if American car companies like Jeep are still putting great paint on their vehicles Toyota could do it as well. I realize they're doing it for a cost cutting measure but environmental issues are not at play here. My local paint shop said there really aren't any regulations...
  3. 2025 4runner TRD PRO cost for a solid paint job

I did have it ceramic coated but that didn't fix the fingerprint issue. I was thinking about wrapping it but the trails I go through in Colorado are very narrow and would damage the wrap. Toyotas are superior in many ways, my 2006 Toyota Matrix that I have kept up with still has the original...
  4. 2025 4runner TRD PRO cost for a solid paint job

I have the 4Runner Trail Hunter in the underground color. The paint quality is not as good as my previous 4Runnerunners or my other Toyotas. I got a price of $12,500 to repaint it in the same color with better quality paint. I'm sure you can get cheaper paint jobs but like other people have...
  5. Dealer is going to block the snorkel on our Trailhunter before we take delivery.

Well just having the snorkel you lose 3 horsepower over the non-sorkel models. Wonder how much a silly sponge knocks that down further.
  6. Dealer is going to block the snorkel on our Trailhunter before we take delivery.

It's not that loud to start with, and hardly noticeable if the windows are up. Putting a sponge in there is restricting the airflow and probably voiding your warranty.
  7. Trailhunter steel skid plates weight (lbs weighed on scale)

Those skid plates plus the heavier tires and roof rack must be why I'm only getting 15 MPG.
  8. Everest TrailHunter - Blacked out front & rear valence (wrap). High impact PPF installed

I agree, I have the underground color and that silver just doesn't work for me. I'll eventually also get rid of the bronze Wheels and go all black. Thanks for the info, great looking rig got there.
  9. Real-world use of 4Runner’s 2400W Inverter Power Outlet: gear, tips & cautions

I have it set up to charge my Anker battery, and my iceco fridge (stopped using dometic since I've had 3 fail in 5 years) and my starlink mini run off of the battery while the AC outlet charges the battery. That way while stopping for a bathroom break or to get gas the fridge and the internet...
  10. Aftermarket Subwoofer, Ported Box, Amp Installation on TRD ORP gas non-hybrid

Great looking setup! I'm still waiting for the control module replacement to come out so I can ditch all of the JBL speakers and run proper amplifiers and avoid that beat Sonic line level amp, although that is a good option and it sounds decent I just wish the replacement module adapter would...
  11. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Still hanging in at 14.9 combined on the Trailhunter.
  12. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

I would be curious to see the results on pen and paper the old fashioned way. Noticed quite early that when doing it with the actual miles like we did in the old days those displays in the 4Runner are not all that accurate. My 4Runner Trailhunter claims that I'm getting 21 when in fact I'm...
  13. Ski / snowboard rack accessory for the ARB 3/4 roof rack on trailhunter

You might try Rack Attack, they have stores Nationwide and online ordering. Went by their Austin Texas location recently and they said they could get some attachments from ARB for the trailhunter to mount just about anything. I was looking for mounting for maxtrax. https://rackattack.com/stores
  14. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Yes I do. I've always been a pretty conservative driver for fuel economy. I've tried with cruise control and without and the different driving modes. I know on the highway the major problem is the 80 and 85 mph speed limits in my area, and I'm thinking on the next trip out of state driving...
  15. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

4runner Trail Hunter picked up in early June. 2,000 miles .Oil changed at 1,000 miles. Around town the very best I've been able to get is 15.5 MPG and 19.9 on the highway. With the heavier tires and wheels and underbody protection I guess that's the price I pay for the lower mileage than the...
  16. Dealer is going to block the snorkel on our Trailhunter before we take delivery.

Makes sense, the trailhunter has the underbody protection not so much the TRD Pro. I also think those old man emu shocks are great on the trailhunter. I've had mine for 4 months now, love it and I do not mind the snorkel sound which you barely hear anyway.
  17. Dealer is going to block the snorkel on our Trailhunter before we take delivery.

Then why are you getting the Trailhunter and not the TRD Pro. I bought my Trailhunter specifically because of the snorkel.
  18. Beat-Sonic Amp Upgrade Clarity Needed

It's not a real amplifier it's a line level booster. And you're right it really doesn't do anything to the sub.
  19. Beat-Sonic Amp Upgrade Clarity Needed

Beat Sonic is only a line level amplifier not an actual amplifier. All it really does is give you the perception that your stereo is louder because it gets louder sooner with your volume adjustment. I helped a friend install one and it does not sound any better you just don't have to turn the...
