All entrances to the 4R have grab handles except tge drivers side. Not sure why, maybe your supposed to grab the steering wheel. Please enlighten me.
Are any Toyota or after market grab handles that would work and blend in.
Thanks.
The rear are a bit of a pain. You do have to drill through trim and the panel. The panel is plastic as is most of the front and back.
Drilling the holes for spring clips would be easier with wheels off or a very small 90 degree drill and short bit. Without that, you can manage it but drilling...
I also see two part numbers in the instructions. The last two digits, if 00, they are normal. If 10, they are wide. Might be interesting for folk with wider tires. The normal just about cover the SR5 tire spray so wider might have been a better option.
Based on the front, yes. I am doing the back soon. In the instructions, it got confusing on step 2 as it states, if applicable. I think it means do step 2 only if you have an existing mud guard bracket. I skipped to step 3.
Looks like the cargo floor is not user removable or hiding and storage areas. Can anyone confirm?
Also, on the driver side rear cargo floor there is a plastic cover to a cut out but, again, does not seem to be a user removable area.
My goal was to find storage for infrequently used items.
They are available, see other thread for details - https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/mudguards-oem-part-number-aftermarket-mud-flaps-options.3025/page-2
I got the Install instruction (attached). I must say, the Ourisman parts staff are great. A Shout out to Ronald who went the extra mile to find the instructions and email them to me.
Its more involved than I thought and does require drilling of two holes.
The included hardware is different to...
I received my mud guards from Ourisman Toyota in VA (They have 3 dealers, the parts Dept is at Richmond, VA). OEM Toyota bus, 4 mud guards and two small packets of screws. The packet has four screws and three spring clips. I have two packets. No instructions.
It may become obvious when I take a...
After putting down my deposit in February, I tried to track the vehicle but nothing on Toyota or the data import sheets in this forum. My 4R did show up and I have had it a few days now.
Ford primarily. Had two VW TDI's, one over 300K and still running today for another owner. I loved the diesel MPG and power but, lots of regular small component failures.
Fords (Focus, F350, Escape) have been reliable for me but I dislike the dealer service department experience.
It does seem...
You are correct on Discount tire. They list 265's as the stock tire on a 2025 4R6g. I emailed them this morning as I was looking for alternate tires. I checked mine and the Toyota spec and they are 245. Bridgestone when I expected Yokohama for some reason.
Did it require an offset or was that by choice. I really don't understand offset so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am guessing the offset moves the tire out or in. In concept, I may not like this because of potential additional stress and load on the other components. I see Burgi reported a +55...
Does the SR 5 have acoustic glass? If so, how would I know from the markings?
I suspect this is another “bate and switch” from the Toyota team at San Diego along with heated seats and other stuff that did not appear in the production models.
UPDATE - GOOD NEWS
Thanks to "Timelaps" and the tip...
