Just picked up my 6G a few days ago and have some newb questions.

1. Noticing that while driving I hear like a “hum” coming from the rear. Not sure if it’s the tires or if it’s that fake engine sound? I don’t seem to have heard anything like that during my 300 mile drive back home.

2. After I get back from a drive. I get out and then lock my doors with the fob but the vehicle beeps 5-6 times. Is there a reason for that?

5 6 times beep is rear seat reminder. at some point in the current trip you've opened the rear door, drove off, and it didn't detect you stopping and opening it a second time, so it barks at you check for your kids/dogs/whatever

that rear seat beepin can be disabled in the combo meter options (dash)
but it is profile based. if you have driver profiles you need to disable it on each,
and if you ever delete toyota connect entirely, you gotta go back and re-disable
it as removing toyota connect sets everything back to defaults again.

hum in the back ? could be tires....probably not ESE (engine sound enhancement). ESE follows engine revs and makes it sound like a louder engine when in reality it sounds like a sewing machine. I disabled ESE 'cuz who the F wants it anyway...but I kept ANC enabled (active noise cancellation)

to disable ESE you need an OBD-II tool capable of understanding that setting...
Carista is popular 'cuz it's cheap enough to pay for 1 month access, set whatever
settings you prefer, then just stop the subscription. or have dealer do it but they
usually want a labor charge and I don't blame them for that

Good to know about the beeps. The odd thing though, after I opened the door and closed it since I took my son to school. It only made one beep as usual when I locked the door. When I went home after dropping my son off, I did not open the rear doors but when I locked the door that's when it threw the 5-6 beeps which I found odd since I haven't opened / closed any doors except the drivers door.

Hard to explain the "hum" or hum-like sound. It almost feels like its going to make my ears plugged like going up the mountain pass. When I picked the truck up and did my test drive. It was super quiet and I did not hear the sound. When I took the 300 miles trip home I also did not hear the sound. Wierd how I am now hearing it and the only thing different is today is 30 degrees with some frost.

do you have carseats in the back? could also sense that you have some kind of weight on the rear seat

Yes, I do actually

EDIT: Should've did some Googling but found a quick video explaining the rear seat reminder feature

It is, I ended up finding out where it was and decided to just leave it on. I was only confused at first as I thought something was wrong.
