I picked up my 4Runner on Valentine's Day 2025, and with just a hair under 18,000 miles, it was already time to replace the OEM tires. I have a heavy foot, but in my experience, the factory tires Toyota provides never last anywhere near as long as the retail version of the same tire you'd buy at Tire Rack.
The Wildpeaks were at 3/32 tread so I decided on my ORP not go back with the Falken Wildpeaks. Now the WildPeaks weren't BAD per se.... they conquered the Devils Staircase in Sedona last year so they did okay in some loose sand and trails but I did notice wet traction drop off as they aged.
But to try the Toyo Open Country AT3 instead which I think have a nice aggressive look but gives a 60K warranty and allows a spare tire to still be used. They are SL rated and in less than 4 weeks will be hitting trails in Moab, Factory Butte, Toquerville Falls, and the Alpine Loop near Ouray Colorado.
