I do understand some of your concerns, I was at Pismo Beach one weekend around the Oceano Dunes and left my windows cracked slightly and my entire car had gritty sand in it. Not to mention every thing that I owned had grit and sand in it as well as every orifice! That was an older 3rd gen.
Years ago new guy that would not take his car out if inclement weather was threatening! Also if he came to a area on the road that had a puddle or water collecting he would pretty much stop and find a driveway to go in and work his way around it!
Well I think the real question is, are you actually seeing the dashboard console light up showing 4-H and or
4 Low.
Perhaps the confusion is that; yes you can move the dial but without engaging the button you will not get an actual engagement.
So to be real clear if you don't see a green 4-H...
Yes I would be curious too as well. It appears to me would be a narrower 285 with a lower aspect ratio, if this makes sense. I've seen this on other tires going from a 70 aspect ratio to a 65 and the tire manufacturer did compensate for the width of the tire as well as the aspect ratio.
I think...
I'll chime in on that one. To switch to four high you really have to go through an effort of pushing in the button and turning the knob. So something must be getting pushed in or it's in a broken state. If you can turn the drive mode knob without pushing in the button to shift to four high then...
Well as we all know these oil posts go down very deep rabbit holes that go nowhere!
So if everyone or most people want to do frequent maintenance I'm all for that! I say that because if I were to buy a used car it would be really nice to see somebody's doing exceptionally good maintenance on...
I suppose that could be anchored in on the buddy's truck to keep it from skidding while winching yourself out connected to the buddy's truck opposite end. Definitely the more tools you have in the outback the more prepared you are the better, and even a simple come-along is a great option if...
Way to go,
getting stuck is not fun when you're miles from the nearest help. That happened to us out in the Mojave. Recovery boards saved us.
Also one of the golden rules is always go with a two-car Caravan.
Solo running is fine if you have a good winch and hopefully you find something that...
I think there's something about when you go to dealerships telling yourself you're just going to be a lookiloo! and you end up buying a new car.
I think it has something to do with the the smell of the new car, it must be the smell thats giving off a subliminal toxification msg that says buy...
Well pretty easy to determine damage but a lot of that rear bumper is plastic so you might want to check that all out as well as your framework. Usually a good eye can spot that stuff pretty visibly. But nothing is cheap and the smallest Fender bumper damage is well over $500 to have it done...
Well that's great! I had no clue there was even a device like this available. I don't like the idea of data mining or unnecessary tracking, but, I am using my navigation quite a lot and I also use my onboard microphone as well as calls coming in. I also use the feature that allows me to call...
