All had/have a better transmission compared to the 26 4Runner. At times, this 4Runner feels like I'm strapped to an atom smasher.
Does the Toyota software try to check for updates upon wifi connection? How often does it check? If I turn my ride on, but drive away from my wifi network within a few minutes, not long enough for a download, will the car display a unfinished update?
I opted out of connected services...
That's hilarious considering the manufacturer can't get the fluid level right.
AND the delivery process doesn't verify it to be correct, despite history.
My ride was built 12/25.
Also, forgot to mention, the service dept stated they found DTC P077571 (Pressure Control Solenoid B actuator stuck).

Picked up my ride today. The repair write up states they looked for signs of metal in the transmission fluid. So I guess it was a drain/fill operation, vice top off. They couldn't reproduce the issue after the fluid inspection. They put 26 miles on it in an attempt to recreate the issue...
I'm not sure what's involved in topping/replacing the transmission fluid in the 6th Gen but if dropping the tranny is part of it, that's crazy. Why wouldn't it be a fill/drain plug operation? In my 5th Gen 4Runner and 2.5 Gen Tundra it's that way. No dipstick, drain/fill plug with the...
