The tray comes with rubber inserts for the flat bottom surfaces so the crap doesn't rattle on the plastic.

Pretty happy with them. The console is so deep that it makes sense to split up the vertical space.

With the tray in place there is still over a couple inches of space at the bottom. For instance at the moment I have a roll of shipping tape in it's dispenser on top of some usb cords down in the bottom under the tray. So it's basically still a useful amount of space.

It's also possible to sneak a usb cord from a rear seat usbc jack in through a rear corner down to the bottom or to the tray to keep a flashlight or speaker charging out of the way or something.

I don't even have anything in the lid yet. Not sure what it might be good for, but anything's better than wasting the space.

I am afraid that it would not work if you install other parts already!
