Test drove a great Trd off-road premium hybrid today, and have a deposit down on it. Dealer offered to install rear seat warmers through a third-party vendor. They assured me that this would not void warranty in any way. Unsure if I should ask them to put that in writing, anyone have any concerns about that?

UPDATE

The third party installer company is Micorp. Looks like regional to New England, website link below:

The only thing it could void the warranty on, is whatever failure can be directly attributed to the aftermarket part being the culprit. Like if the Softex failed or the electrical connection they make to power the heaters causes damage. Other than that, I doubt any dealer would even blink at rear seat heaters for warranty purposes.

I wouldn't think twice about having rear seat heaters installed. I find it fairly offensive that an ORP doesn't have them (or dual climate control) to begin with, but that's a whole other topic LOL

would be interested in knowing what the 3rd party product is to be installed that’s compatible; rockin a new TRD Pro and would’ve liked for the rear seats to be heated & cooled for the price!

Typically if the dealer is offering install of any aftermarket accessories, they would have their own warranty coverage through the dealer themselves/that 3rd party company. As there isn't any electronics in the seats or anything to interfere with the heating element, no factory warranty should be voided and the only thing that should be a concern is the seat cover(the SoftTex or leather seating). Typically, if the element fails it should be covered as part of that accessory warranty as the heating element would be directly responsible for any damages done to the cover.
