Am I doing something wrong? I tried to bring up the hybrid link and it isnt working.
Should be working. Try it again. The upload process failed at some point but it had uploaded all the 4runner and 4runnerhybrid files ok before it failed. All models have been uploaded now.

Hello new to the forum and Toyota and trying to get my head around the ordering "allocation process". I read this great link (https://www.tundras.com/threads/toyota-allocation-ordering-transporting-system-explaination.107512/)
I understand it is for a Tundra reserve request. However should be the same for the 4Runner?
On March 22, 2025 I put $1k for a 2025 4Runner Platinum Underground Gray with cross bars and all weather mats (can be added on PIO options). I was told the process could take 3 to 5 months for delivery.
When I contacted the dealer (CT) yesterday they said there wasn't a Prod. Confirm date yet? After 3 months?
The sales manager said that the dealership can only put in 2 allocation requests a month. Ok well if one was placed in March wouldn't their be a delivery timeline or something by this time? Moreover was told that within 500 miles of the dealership none were available (toyota.com inventory).
Is the sales manager not doing something correctly to order the 4Runner? Is Toyota not building 4Runner Platinum's (underground gray) as an allocation group (SR5, Limited, TRD) in the Tahara plant in Aichi Japan for summer of 2025? Are they waiting for 2026?

Thank you an any help would be helpful and mentally stabilizing

It all comes down to allocations that the dealership gets. The Platinum appears to be the most rare so far, but they are being produced, shipped and delivered. The Toyota inventory website does not seem to show the higher-end trims (TRD Pro, Trailhunter, Platinum) but they are out there. If your dealership does not get a lot of allocations, it could take months++

We spoke to 4 different dealerships in our area and after about 3 months they are still working through the waitlist. We found another dealership in state (via the Spreadsheet) and they had an allocation that wasn't spoken for yet, so we put a deposit on it and should have it here in the next few weeks.

As far as underground color not being available in Platinum, its one of the more common colors the Platinum is being made in. The Red seems to be the rarest color so far.

Unless you're willing to wait, you are going to need to look nationally for a platinum. There are a few out there still not spoken for, I had a dealer reach out in a neighboring state they had an allocation about a week ago. Depending where your located, it will cost you probably $1000-$2000 to have it shipped and some dealers require you to complete the paperwork at the dealer, so if you're willing to spend those added costs, you can get a Platinum within the next few weeks/months.

Mine was about to head to the dealership then got put on the hold before it left. Been checking on the allocation list to see if any dates were updated then it got put on the sold sheet for a few days and taken off the dealer site. Came back on the allocation list and dealer site for another couple weeks and then today its off on the sold list again. My salesman text yesterday and said the date moved to 06/26 so thats why I was checking this morning to see if my dates where changed. These list are confusing me too lol
Normally, it would be very rare that a vehicle that is on the sold sheet gets moved back to the current allocation sheet. Typically, I think this would only happen if a sale fell through or someone no longer wanted a car that was held for them. This QC hold thing appears to be causing an exception to that. The reason for the sold sheets is so that the current inventory allocation sheet does not get cluttered and huge, and so that only things not sold (defined as things that appear in the inventory the Toyota search inventory website returns) appear in that sheet to make it easy to see what is still possible to get. Granted a Sold column could have been added but the size of that spreadsheet would eventually become immense, and you would have to do extra filtering to see non Sold vehicles. It also makes it easier to archive/remove everything sold at some point by just archiving/removing the sold file.

just curious if there is any data like this available for the Canadian market?
Not currently. Toyota Canada uses an entirely different inventory API.

Hi all -

I have been looking at the lists provided and while my dealer in CT said my 4 Runner Trailhunter was shipped on May 23, with an arrival at the dealership on July 10, I cannot find any mention of it on any of the lists.

Is there a reason why it would not be listed anywhere?

PM me your VIN number. Was it on the list at some point?

our timelines are close

*** 5/15 QC hold ***

Would someone please be able to tell me the status of my vehicle? VIN: JTEVA5BR5S5021438

mine was built in March, arrived to Long Beach on 04/28 and was supposed to be here 05/21. It was placed on the qc hold on 05/15 and is still in Long Beach supposedly. My salesman seems to be incompetent and hasn’t been too helpful. He told me last week it finally made it to the Denver rail yard, and now he’s telling me it’s still in Long Beach on the hold. I’m very frustrated with this abysmal process. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is close as well:
Confirmed on 4/03
Built on 4/18
Was through the port and waiting for transport to rail head on 5/08
*** 5/15 QC hold ***
QC hold was extended to 56 days on 6/13 (which would be 7/10).

Mine is in Portland.
