I live in the Nashville area in TN and I’m looking for places around the area with good affordable PPF prices. This will be on a 25 TRD PRO 4Runner. I’m still debating on whether to get the whole truck covered or just the front. Depends on the price honestly.

I would search for Xpel shops around your area. I found one in Austin and I paid $3019 for full front and a-pillar PPF with window tints all around. Sometimes you can get promo codes from influencers that take 10% off. Full PPF for the entire truck was upwards towards $7-8k.

I went to Corsair in Franklin (I live in Mt Juliet) for my CT4V Blackwing and they did an amazing job. There were quite a bit of difficult points due to the carbon splitters and they made it look great. Not cheap, but I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

Also...do you plan on bringing it to car shows or anything? I'd love to see it in person!

I visited two places today, both XPEL dealers in Chattanooga. One was Phantom Films, the other Tint World. Keep in mind, I have not had any work done by either dealer. Also, I am only interested in doing the front and partial hood.

Phantom Film have 4 packages - Basic at $1350, Standard at $2250, Standard Plus and Ultimate. I did not get costs on the top two tiers as I am only interested in protecting the front. I realized after that it may have been useful for other willing to spend more. They charge an additional $300 to remove ceramic coatings on the front. The place looked professional and organized with a lot of nice auto's out front.

Tint World - Seemed a lot less formal. Quoted $1999.00 on seeing the 4Runner. I said, "nope, too much for me". He then offered the front and partial hood for $600-$800 depending on trim level. I got a quote for $625 front, front fender, partial hood. 10Yr warranty. They said the local Porsche Dealer uses them as the sole PPF provider.

Both dealers stated they use XPel Ultimate Plus.

I have an appointment in mid-June. I will let you know how it goes. I am pretty fussy so, it best be good and the warranty and paperwork best say Xpel Plus.

I live in Mt Juliet and there's a Tint World...I've never gone to them but have a friend that used them and had a horrible experience. Enough for me to at least not go to that one.

I was a bit worried about that too. They required a 50% deposit, not sure what the terms are on that. If they screw it up, they will fix it. Its really a small job so I am less concerned. If a full vehicle, I would rethink it.

I think that's fairly normal. I had to put 1/2 down too and was really relieved when I saw the final result.

UPDATE - I cancelled my appointment with Tint World Chattanooga. Too many bad reviews and in dealing with the guy, it set off red flags. I asked which Xpel film he's using in the job he quoted... He did not know. I said is it Xpel Ultimate Plus? He said, yes that's it!!

Then it came to getting my deposit back. It took almost two weeks and they shorted me by $8. I know, that's not much but, its the principle.

I settled on Phantom Films, Chattanooga. Wow, what a difference in professionalism. They initially quoted more but I told them that Tint World charged less, and they gave me a discount. I had the full front bumper, fender and lights done. No hood as I fitted the Husky Aeroskin II. The film cost was $765 + tax. They do a 30 day inspection and fix if anything needs redoing.

Got the 4R back today and the job was done very well. I am also pleased with the Husly hood protector too. I typically hated the look of these things but, the low profile Matt black seems to work well on the 4R.

So, if needing Xpel PPF work in Chattanooga or North Georgia, give Phantom Films a call. https://protectwithphantom.com/
