I’m personally interested in getting 285/70/18 all terrain tires, but have no experience with purchasing from these brands. What is the consensus, or what are the personal experiences you all have with Toyo, Wildpeak, BF Goodrich and Nitto? Aside from looks, is one better than the other?

Out of these I have only had Wildpeak AT4s. I've had them on various trail types from dirt to small rocks to the slick rocks in Moab and they performed great in each instance. On road you feel the road a bit more than a street tire and they feel more at home off road and I suppose the reason why is that's what they are designed for.

I just put the Wildpeak At/4 on mine. I live in the mountains, and these have been good to me. I had them on my 2007 and they performed great in the snow too.
They feel solid under the truck.

What load tire did you put on? I am leaning towards C rated here in Coal Creek Canyon at 8800 feet. I am not a heavy off roader (yet :)). And the Falkens seem so heavy as well compared to Toyo.....

They are E rated. They weigh about 61 lbs each.

I have always had BF Goodrich A/T on my Ford and Jeep. Had the mud terrains once. They were great off road but very noisy on paved roads and went back to the all terrains. Just got a new 2025 4Runner Sport Premium and went with the Nitto tires. Only have 600 miles on them but they ride smooth and are pretty quiet.
