question? what type of batteries are in that emergency light? rechargeables? standard type?

if standard type, you might want to be careful since they will eventually corrode/leak and ruin that light.

Yeah, 5 min tops. Did not have to raise it, just crawled under with a 10mm.

I think that "chin strap" air dam would help to limit snow/salt/mud etc. from getting up underneath your vehicle but I certainly understand that many people find the aesthetics very unappealing.

I remembered seeing an issue with Tacoma, mud causing issues.
