Jarvis TRD ORP build update: Sherpa roof rack, RTT, Diode Dynamics ditch lights, heritage grill

Jarvis got some new hardware. I got a Sterling Wasatch double channel RTT roof top tent, Sherpa adventure rack, diode dynamics 2x ditch lights. added a heritage grill to tie into the gold methods.

Overall very happy but the shop who installed the tent and rack damaged my 4Runner.

Unfortunately the shop owner lied about the mishap and now have to go through insurance. Has anyone had to do this with modifications?

For a brand new rig, that I have babied prior to taking the ship.

It appears that they damaged the rack itself and dented the roof on the passengers rear door. Drivers side is messed up too. Don’t think they installed it correctly.

I think there are some avenues for recourse to pursue regarding this issue (i.e., small claims court...no attorney required, filing formal complaints with the state consumer protection agency, state business licensing and regulations agency, and the BBB). Most importantly documenting every step and sending / serving the business a formal detailed letter with photos stating every aspect of the shoddy work. If the shop is doing work like that, they will and have been doing shoddy work like to other customers also.

Ugh! That really sucks man…!

Can I ask your opinion on the Sherpa rack itself? …shopping around.
