Wind Noise Mod?

Hey everyone. Does everybody hear that wind noise on your left ear? It sounds like a seal is leaking air over 60mph. Everything looks normal when checking all the seals. If there is an issue, then is there a mod out there to quiet it up?

I hear wind noise and a slight buffeting sound even when there is no wind. I pushed out on the drivers door and window which made no difference.

Removed my roof cross bars which made no difference. They were coming off anyway.

I'm wondering if the sound is from around the outside mirrors.

People on the LC and GX forums talk about adding rubber trim on the sides of the windshield to reduce noise. Haven’t really noticed an issue on my Trailhunter, though, since the snorkel tends to drown it all out

I've noticed the wind noise, even after disabling fake engine noise and white noise with Carista. Removing the roof cross bars helped with noise over 50MPH, but now I think I notice the door noise more (almost as if a window is down). Similar noise to my 5G 4Runner.
I've read in 5G forums of people lining the inside of the door gasket profile with another material to cut down on that noise, like backer rod or hollow soft plastic tubing. Though I've not tried this fix.

I also noticed the wind noise on the drivers window in the corner at around 50MPH. If you put your finger in the corner of the window between the seal and push slightly against the glass the noise stops. I will try adding a small piece of additional rubber in the seal in the coming weeks and se if that helps.

yes right in the corner of the window on the drivers side door...drives me mad. wife said not to be too picky but it is annoying.

I noticed a specific noise at the sunroof. If i tilt it open and let it auto-close , the noise starts
(Yes, it starts after the roof is closed…)

I have to slide it open and let it auto-slide-close to eliminate the noise.

The noise only comes back on the tilt open and tilt close
It has to do with how the window sets back down on the seal I think? Anyone else notice the same?
