Just a heads up for anyone considering the WeatherTech 8ASP-BN2B second-row bench seat protector for a 6th gen. This absolutely does not fit the 4Runner rear bench properly.

The biggest issue is that the velcro openings do not line up with the seat belt buckles at all. Because of that, the cover can’t sit correctly and the anchors don’t go back far enough under the seat to actually secure it. It ends up floating instead of being properly anchored.

WeatherTech calls this “semi-custom,” but this is clearly just a universal cover. It’s the same model number used for vehicles like a Fiat 500 and a Mercedes A-Class sedan. There’s nothing about it that appears tailored to a 4Runner.

Also frustrating: there aren’t vehicle-specific reviews on their site, just generic testimonials, so there’s no way to see how it fits in a 4Runner before ordering. Posting here is basically the only way to warn other owners.

I didn’t grab pictures because I was honestly too annoyed when I pulled it off, but if there’s interest I can throw it back on and take photos to show what I mean.

For those with a seat cover, what are you running that actually fits well? If it helps, I have a ‘26 ORP. I don’t really care how it looks, I just need something functional.

Appreciate any real world recommendations.

I am too done with Weathertech. They are slow to introduce products for new vehicles. The durability based on 20 years of using thier mats has dropped to new lows.

I recently purchased a set for an F350 after opening the box and installing, they are so stiff and raised up at the edges of the door sill over an inch.

The seem to be focusing on other accessories like cup holders and not the core business that made their name.

I purchased Lasfit for the second row protector. 100% fit good, look good, etc. durability unknown. No noticeable smell after fitting.

i recently purchased Husky mats at the front to replace the OEM. The model is X-Act. Very nice product. I just did the two front. Left the OEM mat in the back As it gets very little use. Might replace OEM Cargo mat as it looks trashed with virtually no use.

I don’t think Husk make the rear seat protector yet. If the so, let me know.

I will check out Lasfit, thanks for the suggestion. I also saw a user mentioned “Canvasback” in another thread for the 2nd row seat covers.
