Trailhunter on 1.25" wheel spacers

Is that purely for aesthetics or does it have any functional value (clearance, rubbing, etc.)?

Usually they are used to accommodate larger/wider tires to prevent rubbing when turning. A friend of mine has a Jeep that had that problem, and she added spacers to resolve it. Note, though, that many of her (very experienced) Jeep club friends recommend not using spacers--rather upgrading the entire axle instead. Obviously that is astronomically more expensive. I believe their concern is either the spacers coming loose as it is bolted on then the wheel is bolted to that--you cannot check the spacer bolts withouto removing the wheel. That said, many people use them with no problem.

As @Van Solo said, that's not a TH in the pics; the TH comes with wider fender flares, so this comparison is incorrect
