Trailer Hitch Light Question

When I first brought my TRD ORP home 6 weeks ago, the trailer hitch light as well as the interior overhead lights would light up when I walked up to it with a key fob.

I noticed yesterday that while the interior lights will still illuminate when I approach the vehicle with a key fob, the trailer hitch light no longer does and I cannot figure out why.

I've been keeping the switch for that light in the center " door " position, but I am not sure what position it was in when I brought the vehicle home.

Any input would be appreciated.

You can disable it. It’s called a “trailer hitch light”.
