Growing family = bigger vehicle. To adulthood… doesnt mean you cant have fun with it

Following day, already completed Stage 1:

Eliminated air dam
Trailhunter heritage grill swap
Rigid fog lights
Redline Tuning hood lift
Lasfit Floor Liners
Ceramic Coat
Full Frontal PPF

I included a pic of the plug I picked up at Lowes for $2 for the camera on the grill. I originally bought the 11/16 plug recommended by someone else on here for the TRD grill swap thinking it’d be the same for the trailhunter grill but surprisingly it wasnt.

I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all their help and information. You have definitely made this easier for me. Cheers!!

Next up Stage 2: Rims, wheels and lift

Nice build so far @n1comedes ! First I've seen a Heritage Grille on a Supersonic Red 4Runner and it looks great.

What wheels and lift are you considering?

Welcome to the site. What was your pre-adulthood/mature decision/growing family vehicle? Sounds like you DIY installed the heritage grill?

Very nice, looks just like mine, Hybrid, I picked up 10 weeks ago.

I'm leaving it alone. I've done all the modding I want over the years on Jeep Wranglers, CJ's, etc. I have an '01 4X4 Z71 GMC if I want to get dirty.

You may already know this but don't wait for Toyota's oil change interval. Do the first about 1K miles. After reading up on turbos I changed mine early; glad I did. The oil was very dirty, almost black at 1K.

Thank you! Im considering Toyo open country a/t III either a 275 or 285/70R17 +18 offset. I know its not a big difference between the 2 but im curious if its make any difference on rubbing or its so minimal that its all the same at that point. Will be going with the westcott designs preload collar lift because i didnt want to waste the AVS that comes with the limited.

I have a 16mos old and another one on the way in a couple weeks. I came from a sports car and it wouldnt fit the stroller in the trunk. Needed something with more cargo space. Yes I did the heritage grill myself. Took me 4hrs including the fog lights. Never done that before and I honestly dont want to do it again. Hehe

Sorry never got a picture with the stock fog lights for comparison. Pictures are with and without fog lights on. I drove the 4runner back and ran through some fog, the oem fog lights just being white made no sense. It reflected all the fog and made it more difficult to drive in. So I cant say if it just simply the color difference that i find it more noticeable. I thought about doing the overlays but some people have mentioned that it does tend to fade over time. Since I was pulling out the bumper already to swap the grill and the fog lights going on sale, i took it as a sign to just get proper fog lights
