I removed the air dam on my SR5 last weekend. My 4Runner was held at port for a month and a half. I picked it up in beginning of July, has a mid-May build date. After watching a few how-to videos from Feb-Mar, I immediately noticed some differences in the installation. In the videos, those trucks had regular U-clips with self tapping bolts. My truck had U-clips with nuts and regular machine-thread bolts. There was blue Loctite smeared all over the fasteners and air dam. I didn't take any pics as I was in a hurry. I thought some of you might find this interesting. For awhile I doubted this and blamed it on the tariffs. While those could have impacted deliveries, someone was definitely messing with my truck after the factory.
