Hi I have a NEW 2026 4 Runner SR5 RWD & Dongar PRO cable connection problem. I bought this from Amazon Dongar PRO Compatible with Select Toyota (DGR-PMA-01) i've watch so many videos on youtube but when I came to do mines and open the plastic behind mirror the setup is not the same as others 4 runners youtube, im missing the second connection on the left side, MAYBE I have a NEWER 4 RUNNER 2026?! I don't think the connections that came with the dongar pro also fits or too small. Please see pictures and help me I want to install my Pelsee V12 Pro. Thank you very much in advance.

I just installed my dash cam today with the Dongar PMA-01 kit. Assuming the 2026 is the same as 2025, the connector you're looking for is next to the dome light module, not the mirror. Check out these videos.

(just reference this for how to remove dome light module)

Fair warning: these videos make it look easy to pull out. It is not. I wrecked my fingers trying to get a good grip on it and pull it down. Luckily I realized I had a trim prying kit that has a wide flat tool that I was able to wedge in and pull down with.

Pull it out from the front as shown in the videos. I didn't need to unplug the dome module to get what I needed to do done, so I just left it plugged in and hanging while I plugged in the Dongar cable. The guy in the first video chose to tuck his Dongar module into the headliner. I opted to keep my outside so I could have access to the switch for different modes. I plugged in the Dongar cable with the yellow tab sticker, ran it through the front under the headliner (my 4R has a plastic piece under the headliner that looks like it's meant for separating cables), and fed it out to the mirror arm area (the area shown in your pics). Once that cable was out I attached the Dongar module on to the mirror shroud with the adhesive backing.

Thanks you are Awesome! Yah I was hoping not to go through my dome lighting and break my fingers or my plastic trims but it might be the case. Wish me luck.

I highly recommend getting a trim tool to help. This pic isn't my exact kit but the tool I used is just like the bottom right one shown in the pic. Very wide. I used the hook end to get in on the front side and pull it down. Be firm but don't try to break it.
