Greetings All,
Newbie to the 6th gen, owned several 3rd gen runners. Getting up there in years so not as much off-roading these days and a lover of HUD so went with the platinum in underground.

Spent two years researching what I really wanted. Coming from an Audi A3 that I bought new a few years post college (and loved it). Had no reason to get rid of it, 10yrs old/70kmi, owned outright, ran like a top, had some get up and go to it - don’t drive much. Since I bought it I’ve gotten married and 3 kids later, finally was time to make a move. I’ve had trucks / SUVs prior to the Audi. A 94 bronco and an 01 Durango. Was so exited to get back to something that felt like a truck. Couldn’t be happier. I’m not trying to build a beast, just something I can daily but also has some “it” to it. I drove lifted trucks for many years, won’t be lifting this one. Will max out tire size, wrap/coat the wheels black, and look to make small edits to make me happy! Obviously never owned a 4Runner before, but consider this my intro and I’m thrilled

Picked up my new TRD off-road premium today! Been a long time Toyota loyalist and after selling my 5th gen runner I decided it was time to come back. Plus this will be a nice little brother to my 2nd gen Taco....

Hi everyone,

First time 4Runner owner here, I’ve always wanted one. Picked up my ORP in July and already have 10k miles on her. Went on my first ever off-road adventure and loved it (even though I took it pretty easy being a newbie).

I plan on going again end of Feb and I’m better prepared this time with some recovery gear.

New guy here recently starting to look at a New 4R ORP, possibly hybrid since now you can order the SDM with them. Currently have a 24 Audi RS3 that is my nice weather, cars & coffee car. Will have that 2 years in June and only have 3800 miles on it. Now looking at the 4R as my wife and I purchased a 66 Nova that I'm currently building it into pro touring car in my garage. That will turn into my nice weather, cars & coffee car for the fam so now thinking of getting rid of the RS3 (I always need one fast/show car in the garage). Previously have had a JL Rubicon (2.0 turbo) and new Bronco (2.7 twin turbo). Loved the Rubicon but hated the on road driving. Loved the new Bronco due to the interior space and marine grade interior but had Ford issues (roof leaking, horn randomly going off) so got rid of that.

Always loved the 4R but I'm a tech nerd as well and need the nicer interior with all the tech so the 6th gen def is something I'm looking at. Went to a dealer recently just to sit in the ORP they had on the lot and really liking it. Haven't test drove one yet but will eventually.

Just wanted to introduce myself and will be on the forums learning while I wait and decide what I want to do.

Hello. Enjoyed reading the forums and joined. Had a 3rd Gen manual 4runner for a while, then an astro van, then a 100 series land cruiser.

Took the plunge into an everest trd off road I force max. Thats a mouthful lol.

First new car. Im pretty happy. Like the trd off road trim, has all the things I wanted. I wish it had reverse tilt down mirrors and a fully adjustable seat but oh well, wasn't going to go premium just for that.

Its funny, this truck is almost the same external size as my 99 land cruiser, but I feel like it has half the internal space. I guess that's the price of Safety and hybrid battery.

New SR5 owner, here! Found a good deal on a used Supersonic Red. It's my third 4Runner having owned a 2013 Trail and a 2017 SR5 Premium before. I traded a Subaru Outback Wilderness for the 6th gen. The Outback was pretty decent as a car, but I am glad to back in a 4Runner. Real transmission, and just feels more solid. I don't think I'll miss all the tech, but I might miss heated seats.

Only plans at the moment are bumping the tires up to 255/75r17, and getting a real skid plate. Going to CO this summer and would like to do some of the Alpine Loop, and maybe an Ophir/Imogene loop.

Been lurking here for a while but have not posted because I don’t have a 4Runner yet. Recently sold my 2023 Tundra and patiently waiting for a Trailhunter to show up at a local dealer that I like to work with. But at this point, they haven’t even got an allocation yet, so could be a while. In the meantime, I’m just hanging out, digging your builds. lol

Hello, joined the site due to my recent purchase of a 2025 sr5. I like it so far but I need to get a few upgrades for it. I love to camp and did have a Jeep wrangler but it was getting old and needed some work.

Hey all last Thursday we finally received shipment of the wife's new Runner,we placed an allocation back in early January and it took a while to get here.
Thanks to the help of Nodak67 I was able to follow it's foot steps from Japan to the US.
The Misses is Super happy with it and that's all that matters to me.
I think the only mods for now will be PPF,tint and tires.

Howdy folks, I just traded my 2021 Rav4 Limited hybrid in for a slightly used 2025 4Runner with 8,500 miles, lifted with 35-inch Falken Wild peak tires. Previously, I had owned a 1988 4Runner, white with the 4-speed and the 22RE motor. I wish I had never sold that truck! I'm anxious to learn as much as I can here. I've already begun reading up on the auxiliary power plug-in locations. I need to order the pig-tail harnesses. I want to install 360 Pro, 9" lights on the "Weld-Rite" grill guard that's currently being built for me, as well as 2 ditch lights by the cab, and I'm still not sure what harnesses I need or which one of the engine compartment power plugs to specifically connect each to? This is the best 4Runner forum I have found so far, and I am anxious to learn and share!
