Has anyone installed the tailgate overlay and can offer advise on if the surface temp is really that important. I installed all the other overlays without looking into it and they're holding up. For this overlay specifically, it has a note on the packaging that said refer to install instructions. In the install instructions it said to only install if the surface temp of your tailgate grab handle is 70 F -140 F. Unfortunately, It will be a few months before that temp is attainable so just wanted to see if anyone has installed in cold weather and if its a sold connection.

I peeled off my chrome ones and installed matte black
but in warm weather and with the sun baking it all day

yes temp matters, you don't want it to peel up slightly and
any dirt to get in there...or else it will forever be crud and you'll
need to reinstall that letter

install them in the cold and then warm them up with heat gun
or hair dryer and press on them all over for 30 minutes would
likely be OK. but you do want the adhesive to stick and marry
itself to the surface and it sticks best at recommended temps.

maybe install cold, park with the sun on it, and keep pressing on
them periodically to make sure
