Front Cup Holder is smaller / different than 2024 Tacoma

Just in case you guys were buying accessories for your 2025 4Runner assuming that the 2024 Tacoma interior accessories are compatible, the front Cup Holder area is actually significantly smaller in the 4Runner than the Tacoma.

are you talking about the actually hole or the whole enclosure? i know on the 22+ tundra, you can reconfigure the cup holders from top/bottom (platinum) to side by side (lower trims) since the overall enclosure is the same size.

i know on 23 tundra platinum our cup holders are top/bottom where as the lower trims have them side by side but the overall enclosure is the same size. you can convert them from top/bottom to side by side but you have to piece meal the parts.

Interesting I wonder why the difference. Are Tacoma drivers more into Big Gulps / huge travel mugs? ?‍

ICS Fab Dash mount for Tacoma also does not work, right size but brackets do not line up.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the part where you actually take out the original cup holders and install ones that are 20% bigger.

I have this and will try to install this weekend, says it fits.

I’m thinking I need to get the larger ones for mine. Wondering if those fit or should I look for something else?

Can anyone confirm if the Z Precision larger cupholder for the Tacoma works yet?

Or has anyone found one that does work?

I tried this version off of Amazon it didn't work mainly because the current setup is one solid piece with the front of the center console.

On their own site it use to say 2024 + Tacoma and 2025 4Runner, but they have now removed the 4Runner description.

Toyota totally changed the cup holders... I tried the AJT Design from the Taco and instead of screws it has clips I even sent them my cup holders to see if there was an easy fix but they told me they would also need the center arm rest to try to engineer something. So for now we are stuck with the stock cup holders

That seems interesting. Only initial issue I see from the pictures is it takes of some leg room of the passenger. I wonder how much and if that ends up being an issue.
