Drive Connect - how to delete / remove “Experience Drive Connect” message?

I’m trying to get info on how to delete the “Experience Drive Connect” ad that is displayed on the LED screen at startup and won’t go away. This is a shameful attempt by Toyota to lure Toyota owners into an annual subscription for services that should be free. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

Watching..... You should at least be able to change the default startup screen!. Cheap shot from Toyota (again).

If its possible, I'd be surprised but welcome it.

Sure - I know if you use Apple Maps or the google flavor, the screen will default to it. However, 90% of my driving, I don't need GPS and don't want to see crappy marketing from Toyota.

If you don't have a cell phone and you don't subscribe, it is a total waste. Top that with I'm hard of hearing and do not pay the radio..... makes it a total waste of money. Would be nice if a person could turn on the rear camera and leave it on. Anything but the advertisement.
