We all know that the 2025 4Runner Off Road Premium does not come with threaded holes in the frame for installing rock sliders. Anyone with the 2026 Off Road Premium have threaded holes in their frame?

Surprised there is no reply to this. From the reading I am doing it seems to be inconsistent. Some say they have them, so don't. I find it hard to imagine Toyota would be this inconsistent.

Of course it's also hard to imagine that some 4Runners would be ready to take rock sliders and some would not. Why would they not make all of them slider ready?

Just tried to mount the OEM Toyota rock rails on my brand new 2026 TRD ORP and it doesn't have threads. When i entered my car to see if the part fits it said yes on the dealer website. My understanding is that most people go on to use blind bolts to mount them but these dam things are expensive. The cheapest ones i found are 8.99/ bolt. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I know you are asking about the premium, but My 2026 trd offroad build date 3/26 does not have threaded holes. Kind of strange because I saw someone else on here said their 26 trd sport did have threaded holes. Very bizarre how it seems random.

According to my research, all trim levels have the threaded holes, except the TRD Off-Road. You would think to include a threaded hole in the off-road model rather than an SR5. Toyota thinking backwards

I was able to get the OEM Toyota trailhunter rock rails on.

Toyota didn’t include threads for most of the holes in the frame so I resorted to blind bolts as recommended on the forums. These things are costly and I bought 12 1/4 inch box bolts and M10 washers from NYTOP for $160. I read somewhere that caliraised would sell you a blind bolt kit separately from their rock sliders for much cheaper but I’m impatient and already ordered these.

The OEM rock rails do have 2 useable threads on each side at the very front under the frame. The rest of the holes are all unthreaded.
I recommended that if you decide to go this route absolutely buy a right angle ratchet drill, trying to do this manually was nuts. Mid way I went to Home Depot and bought the first one I saw by Rigid and it worked well.
When starting I did the first 2 front threaded bolts and torqued it like 90% of the way to give some wiggle room. Then I went to the very last top hole towards the trunk end and did that one. I recommend that you fasten the top hole onto the frame before the bottom one to make it easier for yourself. Pic after the install.

Looks great! Thanks for the tips on install. Trying to decide what rock rails to get, the trailhunter ones look good, the cali raised ones are on sale now as well.

That would have to be done to intentionally hinder us from adding sliders/rails on that model. The only reason I can imagine would be to push us toward buying higher trim levels. But even that doesn't make sense because they don't document this.
