Thanks. Had not seen that article before. It does not give me a lot of hope for the TRD Pro shocks. I see several Fox options. Looks like I can get a non-adjustable version of all 4 shocks for ~$2300. I need to do more research to see what give us the best on road ride and decent off-road handing.
I was driving a 2006 Land Rover LR3 and a 2015 4Runner for a couple of years. (The 4Runner was the wife's before she sold it). The new 6th gen is great so far.
The LR is also a fantastic truck that has taken us everywhere. When our neighborhood was locked in for 2 weeks due to snow and ice we...
Given the current sale, would the TRD Pro shocks be better option for about the same price? I like that the Pro shocks have an adjustment. I can get better street riding for the wife and decent offroad shocks when needed.
Per the Toyota web site:
PTR56-35242-F1 - flat black with 45mm offset, 8" wide
PT946-35240-2F - flat black 20mm offset, 8.5" wide
The 2F look less matt to to me, but that's on a web page not in person. Do the 2F will be wider - any clearance issues on '26 ORP with the 2F?
Surprised there is no reply to this. From the reading I am doing it seems to be inconsistent. Some say they have them, so don't. I find it hard to imagine Toyota would be this inconsistent.
Of course it's also hard to imagine that some 4Runners would be ready to take rock sliders and some...
I missed that difference - thanks. I still don't know when or why I would want one vs. the other. It seems like the diverters would keep more of the sound under the hood vs. directing down to the ground.
Stickerfab sells two versions. One does not have the "sound diverter." They don't explain what that means, if it sounds different, or why the one without the diverter is less money. Anybody know the difference in sound...
That is a good idea. Some rain could still come in, but that could work and would be secure. Also, a flat cord would let me close the window more.
I just got another 4Runner after not having one for ~8 years. I didn't think of the back window because I'm not in 4Runner mode yet.
Stupid question: where to you run the power cord out of the 4Runner? Is there a way to keep the doors closed and locked and still have a 12 gauge extension cord exit the truck?
Maybe I need to make a cord with a flat spot to be closed in the tailgate.
