Did We Make a Big Mistake? TRD Pro

in my situation, i prefer FT4WD since i will 99% of the time be on a normal road (i have been slacking on fishing trips the last 5+ years, but i usually dont go off the beaten path too much and definitely not down anything besides level 1-2 technical difficulty). i am on the road at 450am before the plows are out and living in a valley city with hills coming and going it helps. city plow dont come out until way later so usually i am plowing a path to work in the city.

being in ND the winters can be interesting. intersections are a pita since most are on inclines one way or another. sometimes i have to lock the center diff just to get moving from a stop light/sign due to all the ice build up at them.

i know when its too bad to even attempt to continue on bad road and if they do get bad, i just sit home. safer and i dont want to add myself or my vehicle to the mix of stuck vehicles.

i mean when you get a dump of 33 inches of snow in april you learn to not go out and just enjoy being snowed in

I bought a 2026 limited, but I don’t go off road. I think you’ll be with the the part time system. I had a 2005 Xterra and never had a problems with that, it was a part time system. I had a 2020 Passport that I traded in and at 42K I started to has issues that why i switched to the 4 runner. The other deal breakers for the Passport were, timing belt, the cylinder deactivation and the push button shifter.

We have had all of them even the Lexus gx460. Went back to a new limited even had the trail hunter for a bit. We like the limited better for the amenities. Even had the trail sport Honda pilot. Didn’t like it once we found out it’s a reskinned minivan.
