Cannot stop email notifications for watched threads

I have unchecked all notifications in preferences and on each message that I am receiving alerts. Still getting emails when anyone posts to threads that I once wanted but not now.
Using a browser view as the app was not great.
Any clues?

admin - can you unsubscribe me on all?

You have to disable email notifications for all threads you previously set to watch. It's in this menu:

I looked and none of the threads have the email checked. I did however find an unsubscribe link in the email notification and used it to stop emails. That may have done it.
I know I was unchecking the boxes in each thread but that did not seem to work.
