For those of you following along on this thread, just wanted to give a quick update.

I did a long cross-country trip testing the app, found a few minor little bugs, so those have been corrected. I'm now setting up the test flight for beta testers. I have tested Carista ODB@ adapter as well as the vGate mLinker. The vGate is the one I use. I happen to have a Carista and the Carista seems to work as well. Should be releasing the initial beta to the first eight testers.

I'm focusing on TNGA vehicles, so the 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, and Land Cruiser of the latest generation with a mixture of various adapters. Once I get the feedback from the initial testing, I will then open it up to more testers and earlier generations with the goal of trying to get this thing complete and to market by the end of the month.

pgrossman -the UI continue to improve - it looks more polished than the initial screenshots. Clean and simple always a great approach. Great work. Keep us posted on the trip and the things you're learning about the interface, maybe some screen shots along the way.

@pgrossman - Would you provide an update? I have been checking periodically in the AppStore, but I have not seen a release yet.

Sorry it's been a while, things have been busy, but progressing. I have 10 people testing the app and I would say 99% of the bugs are gone, I have added a "garage" function so you can have multiple cars and use the app across the.

The last piece right now is I am trying to validate the app across all TNGA vehicles. I have 4Runners covered and I had one tester who has a Tacoma and it runs..

I asked my local dealer where I purchased my 4runner in January if I could test the app on a Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia and Landcruiser, but they would not let me do that.

There is another dealer in my town that actually rents there Toyotas...I am going to see if they would let me test on the rental fleet and would be happy to pay for a day rental since I only need each vehicle for about 10 minutes. Dont even need to drive it :). I am going to see them I hope this week to see if I can negotiate something with them....worse case I will have to spend a few hundred bucks renting each car for a day.

My goal is to have it submitted to apple in early November and that usually takes about a week or so for approval. I am trying to get it in the store before thanksgiving so people could use it during their thanksgiving drives.

I also added metric values for Canadian and Mexican drivers....

Good to hear that you’re still making progress! I’m really excited about this app and looking forward to downloading it.
