Unfortunately since you don't have Tow Tech Package on your SR5, your 4Runner didn't come with a trailer brake controller harness. And there's no way to retroactive install the factory trailer brake controller harness (even dealers can't do it).

So the only options for installing a trailer brake controller when you don't have Tow Tech Package is to install aftermarket trailer trake controller - either wired or wireless solutions.

Well I found were it plugs into under under the dash and my 4Runner has the gain on the dash settings
