Hey all,
just wanted to share what my 4R looks like with aftermarket 20’s, the Torq Engineering 3/1” lift/leveling kit, and 285/60r20s installed (including full sized spare).
I went with the Torq Engineering 3/1” kit. I won’t be doing any extreme off-roading so I didn’t want anything too high. I am also limited because my homes garage is not very high. I did not install the kit myself, but the shop told me it was the easiest one they have done as far as “lifts” for front and rear.
I went with the shops recommendation of going with 285s instead of 275s, and there is some slight rubbing when in reverse that the shop said that can adjust for when I bring it back after 500 miles for re-torquing. The poke is exactly what I wanted with the walls outside the flares and 1/2” or so of tread past the flares.
I went with the Fuel 20x9” D679s because there was just a deal on OfferUp that I could not pass up for 5 wheels brand new in the box. Got them from a Jeep rubicon owner who ended up going a different direction.
As for my tint (since people will likely ask) I have 70% ceramic front, and 20% around the rest of the car making the factory tinted glass 4.7% when the shop metered the windows after the install.
Once the shop makes adjustments, I’ll be installing the Toyota low profile mud flaps.
