"Dealer hold" generally means the dealer is holding the vehicle for someone (the vehicle is spoken for). Generally when you are looking for a vehicle you want , contact dealers with blank hold statuses first then "Available" hold statuses, then as a last resort "Dealer Hold" statuses. People have sometimes been able to get a vehicle with a "Dealer Hold" status on it after contacting the dealer.

I updated the Readme.txt file on the google drive to add the Hold Status description
I had my salesman look at the spreadsheet. His best guess was this:

- The dealership's own system has a checkbox that is either blue, grey, or not checked.
Blue = Vehicle is reserved for a specific buyer
Grey = Dealerhold, meaning it shouldn't (or can't?) get re-routed to another dealer in the region
Not checked = No preference, vehicle becomes available when it shows up, or it can be re-routed to other dealerships by the mothership.

- In the spreadsheet, there are actually two columns concerning availability: "Pre-Sold" and "Hold Status"

- For the Pre-Sold column, TRUE = Reserved for a specific buyer, and FALSE = not reserved for any specific buyer. Pretty straight forward.

- For the "Hold Status" column, things get a little more confusing. I believe "Dealerhold" reflects the grey checkmark in the system that I described above, blank means no preference, and "available" means that it has physically arrived at the dealership and available for anyone who wants it.

My salesman made it clear that he could be wrong, though.

Interesting. I had assumed dealer hold was that it was being held for someone or like on a waiting list of people (but not necessarily presold yet).
As for the "Available" hold status there are lots of vehicles in the spreadsheet that show a shipping status of "Factory to port" with the hold status of "Available" so those cannot be physically at the dealer. I'm thinking blank or Available may be the dealers Not checked box?

I'll have to do some more investigation to refine/correct the definitions I have for these in the readme.txt file.
Thanks for the info.

yeah, I did see that some "available" haven't reached the destination yet, so I wasn't clear on that either. I think the "available for anyone who wants it" is accurate for that one, but maybe not the physical delivery aspect.

Then again, I also learned that the dates for arrival aren't very accurate, as some that are marked for July or august are actually already sitting in port - including my own.... apparently... maybe... who knows?! lol

I see it was taken off the dealers website as well. Maybe you are right. I talked to my salesman over the weekend and he just said no new updates and it shows on hold until 6/19 but it never ends up being on hold for that long for anything minor. Ill have to message him again Friday if I dont hear anything from him by then. He is usually pretty upfront and messages me with updates.
Interesting that your dealer gave you an end hold date of 6/19. Did he seem confident on 19th? I’m in same situation with many others on the QC Hold. I can handle an actual date, but I can’t take looking at this spreadsheet anymore at 8am hoping to find something a new ETA lol. My original ETA was 5/8-5/29 ?

I think it was just the 30 days hold so the 19th would be the end of that. He sent a pic of some delivery updates they had. He thought it would be sooner based on other qc holds. At this point I feel it may be longer. I was supposed to have mine this past week

According to my dealer all the 4 Runners earmarked for his particular dealership (that should have either arrived already or by the 4th of June) have that June 19th date. He went even farther to say all 4 Runners for this region (Gulf States) have been given the June 19th date. Very concerning, because if that is the date that they have all been earmarked for, their going to need a lot of transport vehicles. BTW my 4 Runner has been at the port since May 4th and was suppose to arrive at the dealership no later than tomorrow (clearly not happening) and of course we are crossing our fingers that the June 19th date is the final bump date...

I thought the QC holds started on May 15th. Isn’t the 15th the date that updates stopped & ETA windows vanished? Only 4 day difference but significant at the same time as we wait.

What does it mean if your allocation suddenly falls off the report and also does not show up on the dealers website? It was supposed to be delivered between 5/28 and 6/19 and I have been checking it daily this week and was showing yesterday on the allocation spreadsheet and the dealer's website. Now nothing? Just a glitch?

Not sure. Possibly the dealer considers it as sold at this point and doesn't want to get other inquiries about it as they may not know how long it will sit at the port for the QC hold? Did your dealer say anything further on the status of it?

Waiting on a response from my sales rep. Wasn’t sure if anyone else had that happen.

Are you able to clarify "Factory to Port?" Does that mean the vehicle is on a boat being shipped and has yet to arrive at port, or is it still at the factory in Japan?

Where does this data come from? Just curious because the dealer I put a deposit with isn't appearing.

Edit: Okay, so a bit of exploratory hacking is revealing a bug in Toyota's website. I can't even directly search for a Trailhunter.
I ended up manually creating a query:
https://www.toyota.com/search-inven...&distance[]=500trim[]=8636-2025&zipcode=##### (replace with your zip code)

That said, the dealer in question Right Toyota isn't showing up and I know they have a TRD Pro on the lot.
Just trying to make sure I'm not getting scammed here. Granted, I'm going to be paying over MSRP but still. Why isn't anything showing up for this dealer?

Toyota disabled searching for all the top trims (TRD Pro, Platinum, Trailhunter) a few weeks ago.
