I feel fortunate that when this happened to me over the summer, there were parts available. I’d be really pissed right now if I had to park my 4Runner to wait a month or two for an O2 sensor.

That is part number put in my 4Runner per my service record. Fits both LC and 4Runner.

If the sensor is defective and if you are running lean or running rich, you don’t want to run in that condition for an extended period of time.

@Lamuncha FYI the part number is 89467-60270 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor. A quick check online shows availability. Your dealership should be able to get their hands on one fairly quickly.

I believe this sensor is the exact same sensor that is found in the 2024 Tacoma so find it hard to believe there are none available.

Weird. I had the exact same sensor failure on my 4runner. New part showed up next day.

Ask them if they would be willing to use sensor from new 2025 4Runner or Tacoma sitting on lot. Won’t hurt to ask.

If you are relatively close to an auto parts store, drive it there and have them pull the codes for you.

Same CEL warning happened to me at 1000 miles. Ended up being a bad O2 sensor. Dealer took care of it and no issues 4000 miles later.

I had to blow my horn for the first time yesterday on the highway. Damn embarrassing. I know what my next upgrade is going to be.

When I had the issue, my dealership service manager told me it was okay to drive for short period of time until the part came in. Still made me nervous so I limited my driving for the 2 days it took for my replacement part to come in. My O2 sensor failure resulted in my 4Runner running too...

I bought a Sport Premium and immediately replaced the stock wheels with TRD Pros and wrapped them with BFG Trail Terrain T/As. My 4R sees about 90% paved roads. I am happy with my tire choice. Nice and quiet on the highway.

Installed this tonight in my TRD Sport Premium. Wow! What a difference. Totally worth the money I spent.

Debadged the 4Runner today and added Redline hood struts. Beat-Sonic amp and TRD Pro wide mudguard kit coming next week.

Do these fit on all 6th gen trim levels and is drilling required?

Can you share details on what immobilizer you installed?
