Preload spacers are not going to change the damping characteristics of a shock. If you want to modify ride quality, shocks will be more significant. Preload spacers are an aesthetic modification.

You can do either or, but you will have best ride quality to match front and rear.

Yes, I installed them as they came out of the box with no adjustment made. I think you'd end up pretty close to level with your spacer. If you wanted rake you would probably want to slightly reduce the preload.

Yessir! When pairing front 5100's with a lift coil like ours you keep the circlip at the 0" setting. The coil does the lift.
