I put the bolts back in for the air dam. This was mentioned in other threads on air dam removal.
Having a helper or scissor jack is needed iMHO for the skid plate. It’s a bit heavy to maneuver under the truck - to hold in place and locate the bolts. Other than that, it was easy. I needed 2...
Besides the awesomeness of the new model, those pictures are spectacular! The road , Rt 550, from Durango to Silverton to Ouray and Montrose is an amazing ride in autumn. Jealous!
Nicely done! I did the TRD front on my Sport Premium. Not have a lift or ramps, it was a struggle for one man. Had to use scissor jack for help. I will hold off on the other 2 but plan on them. 😄 And the front has been broken in when I crawled over gravel road ditch in rural area in Loudoun.
Not to raise alarm or correlate on one tank of gas….Since purchasing my TRD Sport on July 3rd, avg. MPG 21.9. I removed the air dam and installed the TRD front skid and ARB roof rack early September. First full tank MPG 19.6 with similar driving. Will report back next couple of tanks as we...

Being in DMV too and considering something like Method wheels and Falkens, we should see if there is group buy...
Yeah, 3 screws and a push pin to remove on each front. 4 screws on the rears. You may need a right angle Phillips screwdriver to get the rear liner screws off and on unless you take the wheels off. I just installed these on my TRD Sport this week.
Love the adventure and videos. Those look like stock wheels and tires? Any traction issues with PT 4WD? I have same model. Looking to change to larger tires - already added ARB rack, front skid. Next is diff and tranny skids. Any mods you are planning after the trip?
I installed mine yesterday. Bought during the Labor Day Sale and was able to get additional dealer discount.
As the OP mentioned very straightforward install. One of the rail covers was balky to pull off. Then the next challenge was getting my wife to load and position on the scansions...
After two months, only couple of times failed to start. I expect to use it more in winter. Then until the subscription expires. Came with my trim level. I would never drive without the real key which iI thought was required to drive off.
