It also makes the noise if you push pretty much anywhere in the middle of the door panel (to the left of the TRD badge, to the left of the door lock/handle area, and where the switches are. Basically anytime the panel flexes it squeaks. It doesn't make the sound if the window is down though...
So mine is back again. I've already spent 2 months and 7-8 trips to the dealer trying to get this fixed. Toyota Customer Service was no help either. The build quality on this truck is driving me bonkers and I'm really starting to regret my purchase.
Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?
Yes, I have it too. I already spent 2 months and 8 trips to the dealer on another noise issue, so I don't have the energy to argue with Toyota again right now. I'm hoping there will be an official TSB repair for it eventually.
When I test drove the TRD ORP, it felt a little bumpy at times but not too bad. It seemed tolerable and the cool factor of the new 4runner was really appealing. No dealers near me had the color I wanted so I purchased from a dealer about 6 hours away and had it delivered.
The one I bought...
I really don't see how people can say the ride quality is good. I test drove the Limited and TRD Sport Premium as well and they all ride jittery on small bumps in the road.
I've had a lot of vehicles...20 RAM, 23 4runner, 24 Tundra, 24 Accord, 25 Camry. Hands down, the 25 4runner has the worst...
No Pro here, just a TRD ORP, but my experience going from 5th gen to 6th gen is the same. The ride is just harsh and jittery on bumpy roads (even small bumps). I also had a new gen Tundra for a little while and had the same complaint. I wonder if it has something to do with the TNGA platform.
Any cleaner recommendations for the seats in a TRD ORP? I don't care for the shiny look and slippery feel, but want the seats to be clean and smell good.
Wait...I thought that tires with more sidewall absorb road imperfections better and result in a more comfortable ride. If you go with a smaller wheel, you can fit larger tires with more sidewall. What am I missing?
Both my wife and I have 2025 TRD ORP. Same tires, same PSI. Her’s drives a little less jittery/bumpy than mine and her’s is a few months newer. Does anyone know if Toyota has already tweaked the suspension at all?
I have the TRD ORP and the upgraded JBL audio is just OK. Maybe my settings are bad. Anyone have sound level settings (treble, mid, bass) they think sound great?
Bumping this thread to see if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution. I reached out to Toyota Corporate and they had a Field Engineer take a look and try to fix it. The noise was better for a few days but now it's back with a vengeance. I've been to the shop 7+ times for this and...
Honestly, it seems like it would just rattle all the plastic in the car. Their reactions remind me of morning news reporters pretending to like the food when they do a cooking segment. They didn't talk that much about how good it "sounds" but rather how the loud it got and how it made the car...
I have a 23 TRD ORP and a 25 TRD ORP. I also test drove a 2025 SR5, sport premium, and limited. Here’s my two cents.
23 TRD ORP: the smoothest on bumpy roads with minimal chatter in the frame and cabin. Also better interior materials and less flexing of door panels…more solid feel.
25 SR5...
My dealership tried adding foam padding inside and still hasn't fixed it. I also noticed that it doesn't do this with the window down (even just a little down). It only does it with the window up.
I have a TRD ORP and am really disappointed in the ride quality and interior build quality as well. So many rattles and creaks. I spent 6 weeks with a dealer trying to fix my door creak (see vid) and they couldn’t fix it. Toyota corporate wasn’t much help either. I wish I could sell it but it’s...
Your credit union may be able to just give you a check to take to the dealership for the amount you want financed. Then you can pay for the car with two checks (one from your credit union and one from you).
