  1. What do you do for work?

Today: IT (system integration stuff) Monday after I win Powerball: Retired
  2. 6th gen owners - why did you jump on a year 1 model of the refresh?

From the artice: Does the ruling apply to all tariffs? No, the court's ruling doesn't cover all of Mr. Trump tariffs. For instance, his levies on foreign steel, aluminum and autos were imposed under a different regulation after Commerce Department investigations concluded that those imports...
  3. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Limited here. First 300miles I am getting a calculated 21.3mpg. About 50/50 mix of interstate and city driving. ECO mode. Just took off the air dam yesterday so will see if that makes a noticeable difference.
  4. 6th gen owners - why did you jump on a year 1 model of the refresh?

For me: tariffs. Toyota isn't going to eat a 15% tariff for long. Prices will almost surely be going up for 2026.
  5. Finally spotted other 6th gen 4Runners. You?

outside of a dealership, I have seen two. Granted I work from home so not driving all the time, but our dealers had very little inventory on these until a month or so ago. I am awaiting my Limited Max (hopefully next week) and the first time I saw a limited, dealer or not, was last week at the...
  6. Doggie hitch steps

I found a used one here for $45 that I am picking up tomorrow to see how it works. I do have a drop/riser but really hoping I don't need to use it because of the weight (and don't want to leave the riser on permanently). With 4 dogs, someone is in the back most of the time I drive.
  7. Range and tank size

Those ranges are not a "until you run out of gas" range. Its a range where you need to fill up. I have been at 0 in my current car for 20 miles and still kept going...and even then, only got 17.9g in the car with a 19g tank. Think of it as zero is approximately 2 gallons left and you better...
  8. Installed - FitCamX 4K Integrated Dash Cam (Tacoma Model)

i wrote to Fitcamx today and they said the new 4runner version will be available at the end of September.
  9. Doggie hitch steps

    Weims are...something. LOL.
  10. Doggie hitch steps

I’m just here to say Weimaraner gang unite! have two but have zero worry about them getting in as they are super athletic. I do have two other senior boxers that will need help and looking at what steps people are recommending. This one looks good but damn $95 for a plastic step...
  11. 25% tariff on ALL imported autos announced

And they are going to raise prices across the Toyota world board to cover the tariffs. They aren’t just going to raise the price of cars produced in Japan. People aren’t buying a Toyota or Lexus SUV at a 15-25%+ increase. They will do the math and spread it out to all cars, probably world wide...
  12. Wireless phone charger - do you have to turn it on?

Everybody realizes your phone is using a lot of power when connected to CarPlay, using Waze and playing Spotify right? Even with 12v charger, I barely get any increase when I’m navigating while streaming.
  13. 25% tariff on ALL imported autos announced

They are priced when they leave the plant.
  14. 25% tariff on ALL imported autos announced

They can't eat 10bil a year in profits for long. They sell around 10mil cars a year worldwide. Prices will go up. Prices are going up for American "made" cars too since most of the parts come from other countries and just assembled here. Every US OEM has Tier 1 suppliers in Mexico and Canada...
  15. De-chrome 2025 4Runner Limited - how are you doing it?

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to get the Platinum?
  16. 6th Gen 4Rrunn Hybrid vs. Land Cruiser Premium

Good luck finding any non-1958 LC under 70k. There wasn’t one within 500m of me. And there certainly wasn’t any gx550 under 75k.
  17. Personal Property Tax and New 4Runner

sales tax, no. Property tax for the year might be pro-rated but I can’t remember.
  18. Southeast Toyota (SET) Racket

SET has customers…every dealer in the southeast. They determine what POI goes into a car and sets MSRP.
  19. Personal Property Tax and New 4Runner

You are just paying more upfront. I pay yearly car property tax but only paid 3% sales tax. It would take a decade for us to reach the same 6.25% you paid. It all evens out (unless you are in CA).
  20. Southeast Toyota (SET) Racket

Driving 3.5hr to VA to get my limited. $2.5k less than in SET region because of the add ons and I don’t want and 30% higher markups on POI add ons I did want. Not to mention my dealer has even allowed me to change PIO options this week (should hit NY the port this weekend). Had them remove cross...
