I'm currently running Falken wildpeak M/T 285's on stock sr5 wheels. I get about 22 MPG highway but only 16 in the city, and I mean city, not suburbs. Road manners are actually pretty solid. I'm running these into the ground then will probably switch to Toyo At3's or FW AT4's. Both great snow...
I'm not trying to be rude or say you're wrong but the SR5 doesn't come from the factory in Everest. Only the OR, ORP, and TH are available from factory in Everest.
Interesting, I got a flat 20 mpg driving 700 miles to SC with 285 M/T's. Odometer was about 1800 at the time and I drive 8-12 over. I'm curious to test it now with an OTT tune, have two longer trips coming up.
That is odd, I've been off road about 10 or so times since acquiring and I haven't had anything remotely close to what you are experiencing. I've pushed her pretty hard as well. I'm really sorry you're experiencing all of this.
I've had for about 5 months, 2.5k miles. I've seen a trailhunter, trd pro, sport P, and two sr5's. Located in Baltimore. the TH and Pro live in the immediate area to me
Welp, the inevitable of living in a city happened this weekend. Some low-life's blew out my back window. Only managed to steal a pocket knife and some old prescriptions that were basically Aleve. Bled all over my interior as well so that's pretty cool. Not the brightest thief as I had golf...
Maybe, but for now my money is on the hundreds of thousands of people that have gotten it and never had an issue. You can't even google one. Even if they get smart here soon, I'll be long out of warranty by then. If I become the unlucky first, so be it. Also, as someone who came from an Audi...
I have the OTT tune, if you are running bigger tires I'd highly recommend. I'm running 33 M/T's and was able to gain back about 2 MPG. That will essentially pay for itself over the life of the car. I've experienced less gear hunting and smoother downshifting in lower RPM's and some added pep on...
C load. Rides fine, no chub rub. You can definitely feel the difference in weight the first few rides. MPG took a hit but I still get 20-21 on the highway, 16 city. I'm getting the OTT tune next week so I can update after that as well.
I did it on my SR5. Was almost the exact same but I had to pull off one additional piece. I then used the zip ties that came with it to loop and secure the excess to the inner portion of the grille. Can take pictures later if you want.
I have 285/70r/17 Wildpeak M/T's C load on my SR5 with no chub rub. About a 2 MPG hit. I still get 22 on the highway. And they have answered everything I've asked offroad.
