well the "B" antenna is located near the bottom of the center console, its not behind the multimedia screen (since people like to leave the fob in the cup holders by the driver and in the rear cupholders attached to the rear center console sometimes)
you can remote start via the fob, but dont be surprised at the limited range. and the button sequence is picky on timing on hitting the buttons.
i mean i have tried to remote start via the fob from the garage and the vehicle was 10 feet on the other side of the door and it still didnt start...

it will stay in eco mode after ignition off if set to eco
it will stay in normal mode after ignition off if set to normal
all other modes have to be manually set after ignition off and the system will default to normal mode after ignition off if the mode is changed to anything but eco/normal...
the only big diff you get between 87 and 91/93 is the retard on timing is less to prevent knock on higher octane.

the sensor in the vehicle takes ambient temp which can be lower than official temps
