First time Toyota soon to be owner here. SR5 heritage blue in build stage right now. Apologies for the long post.
I have been a Ford owner for many years with a few twists along the way. History of vehicles include 1991 Honda CRX SI, 1995 Jeep Wrangler, 6 cylinder, BMW 1150 RT motorcycle, 2005...
Very nice people indeed but, I should note, I paid for the second set with a small discount but they were able to stuff it in the same envelope so only one shipping charge. I will try one, take pics a d try two layers of film. It sounds like they will source a thicker film in the future...
I spoke to the fine folk at TacoVinyl about the Amber matching between the 4runner turn signal lights that are using the Amber LED after market light bulbs from LASFIT and the stock white fog light bars.
I would suggest that the light produced by the LASFIT LED bulbs to be different in color...
Did you buy the second layer of film or did the vendor send a replacement?
Could they have sent the incorrect color (yellow) or was it just the amber film not working with one layer..
Thanks again.
On the film, did you put a second layer on top of the first or did they send you a new color that replaced the original yellow. I think they offered yellow and amber, I selected amber.
Thanks for the info. I just ordered the switchback. When the headlights are full on, the switchback light will be on in white mode?
I guess i would understand better if I knew the normal, unmodified behavior of the SR5 lights. The DRL are separate from the turn signal lights and use the mail...
Last question before I order. I see they have a switchback model that can be amber or white. I think form the poor website description that the switchback are for a vehicle that has a dual element bulb that acts as a turn or DRL light.
I don’t have my 4runner SR5 to check yet so, can anyone...
Has anyone with a new 2025 4 Runner installed and tested these lights yet. I know its likely they will work as the platform (Tacoma) is the same. It would be nice to know for sure they don’t generate error codes or flash.
I emailed them for information on the color match for the fog light overlay. I guess, the issue is the color from the new led tirn signal and what is put out from the fog lights with the overlay? I could not easily see the difference in the picture posted.
Thanks
Are the 4runner turn lamps actually halogen as stated or did you mean incandescent (normal, old type bulb).
I will look at the vendor for replacement LED, thanks.
It might be nice to add the following:
Driving Style - conservative, sporty.
Drive Mode used - Sports, Eco
Not wanting to hijack this thread but am am so curious on the reasoning and results of using higher than 87 octane fuel. One factor for me in buying (awaiting delivery) the 4runner was it...
Based on this information from another thread that I did not find earlier, Remote Start is available on all trim levels and from the App or Key fob BUT..... both require connected services (Another cash grab). $15 a month, that's $180 a year. Free for the first year I guess.
Remote start...
Hey guy's and Gal's:
I looked at the trim levels and cannot figure out if the SR5 has remote start from the keyfob or, from mobile phone when subscribed to the Remote Connect/Drive Connect package?
My thoughts are that the subscription service for Drive Connect is bundled with the Remote...
I was interested in a plug in Prius a year ago. Dealer did the same shit with $1000 paint protection, take it or leave it. I walked out, did not return. That was is Auburn, CA.
I wish it was more like Tesla, no BS pricing.
They had the cables and emergency bag. Also the chrome badge inserts along with a carpet cargo mat and an all weather as PIO’s. I got them all removed.
SR5-4WD on order here. I understood the trim differences and decided on the SR5 being correct for our 99% on road vehicle. It makes me happy keeping more money in the bank towards a new Tundra in the future.
MSRP with only the options I need. Dealer paint and interior protection was a mandatory...
I hope they are reliable. I purchased (or have a deposit) on a 4Runner after owning Fords for 30 years. I was ready to buy a Chevy Tahoe until I found out about a huge issue with engines blowing up. I then got close to getting a Ford Explorer ST and found out about the V6’s blowing inlet valves...
