I've owned my trailhunter for 3 weeks today with 5200 miles and I'm loving it! As I've said before, I purchased it out of state and drove it home 500 miles. Two days later, I packed it up for a road trip to Colorado.
On the way to Colorado, I tested out driving in Eco, Normal and Sport mode to...
Wonder if the steering angle sensor needs to be reset. On my Chevy my steering wheel was off center a little bit and I had to have the sensor reset to straighten it out.
I chose the trailhunter over the pro because I didn’t like the mudbath color and I didn’t want black, gray or white, didn’t want a moonroof since I don’t even use the one on my car. The downfall of the trailhunter is the hideous snorkel but it’s tolerable since I do not ever drive with the...
Well, I will say that it was annoying on my drive in the wind. It was 50-60 mph winds all across Indiana and then Kansas which is normal. The turbo stayed spooled up and constant whistle. The window down is a hard no.
But, 2600 miles in and I’m loving it!
Did the oil change before I left for Colorado. Had 800 miles on it and by the time I get back it’ll need another one.
I’ll probably end up blacking out the grill as I plan on getting different wheels as well.
I just bought mine out of state and they also would not let me bring my own financing. That’s ok, I will just refinance with my bank when I get home. I’ve done this numerous times (refinancing after the fact) and they will want your buyers order so you will need to put the money down as planned...
My Trailhunter was delivered to the dealer on Monday and we flew up to Michigan this morning to pick it up. We are making the 500 mile drive home to Virginia and then I am leaving on Tuesday for a road trip to Colorado. Hopefully I’ll get to take it on a trail or two while I’m there.
This is my...
That's usually how it goes and why I don't "just go check it out" if it's a car I'm even remotely interested in. Have made a few car purchases that way.
Congrats, I pick mine up tomorrow!
Is the oil filter the same for the trailhunter as it is for the non-hybrids? I've tried searching toyota parts and have entered the VIN but it says that the filter #90915-YZZN1 may not fit. Would anyone that has taken delivery of their trailhunter be willing to share a photo of theirs?
Update: It's due to the dealership tomorrow or Saturday and I will be going to pick it up next Thursday! Been a long wait and super excited!? I will get it home, do it's first oil change, get the windows tinted and then head out on a road trip to Colorado.
